How to play Omok

Illustrated how-to

Step 1 Line up 5 stones first — Omok!
Black (you) and White take turns. Horizontal, vertical or diagonal all count

Step 2 Tap to preview, tap again to place
On phones, check the spot with the crosshair, then tap the same point again

Step 3 Always block their four!
If you don't take the red ring, they make five next. Blocking an open three early is even safer

Step 4 A four-three wins!
Make a four and an open three with one move — they can't block both. Two lines light up

Step 5 Black can't play 3-3, 4-4 or 6+
Renju rules — forbidden spots show a red ×
